Preferred Materials Wildlife Team Digs In To Wildlife Project

In June, Oldcastle Materials employees in Odessa, Fla., joined by the OMG Environmental Best Practice Group, planted 2,500 flowers, trees and shrubs, resulting in a pollinator garden with more than 90 different species of native plants. This is the first wildlife habitat site by the Preferred Materials – Concrete Division as part of the 2014 Preferred Materials Wildlife Garden Project. Being A Good Neighbor

Erica Mejia, Ready Mix Dispatcher for Preferred Materials in Fort Myers, recently spearheaded a “Being a Good Neighbor” project for the SW Region Green Team.  Back to School supplies were collected by SW Region employees and were donated to Rayma C. Page Elementary School which is located a few blocks from the Alico Road Ready Mix and Block plant. The donations were dropped off during the first week of school and the children were extremely excited and grateful to receive them. Thanks to everyone in the SW Region who helped Preferred Materials “Be a Good Neighbor”.
