Central Safet Mtg 2

On Saturday, 3/11/2017, the Preferred Materials Concrete Central Region held their Quarterly Safety Meeting. This meeting was unique from other meetings in the past. Instead of covering specific topics, the group split up into eight different tables to collaborate on a group scenario. Their goal in the exercise was to come up with specific actions to improve the safety culture for their companies in 2017. Excellent ideas came from the groups, and the management group met the following Monday for the purpose of incorporating these ideas into their business!

Second Harvest Food Bank

On Friday, February 24, 2017, members of the Central Region Green Team volunteered at the Second Harvest Food Bank in Downtown Orlando, FL.  The Green Team assembled pallets of food that will be converted into 4,500 family food boxes. 4,500 family food boxes is the equivalent of three full tractor trailer loads and all of that food will sustain families in need within the Orlando area.

The green team gathered volunteers who traveled from all over Central Florida to help the community! The group came not only from Orlando, but from as far away as Gainesville, Auburndale, Palm Bay, and Daytona.
