Every year, for five years now, Allen, a licensed general contractor, and his wife, a registered nurse, have been taking mission trips to Nepal to serve those in need. Immediately after returning from a week-long mission there in April 2015, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck and destroyed the country. Rather than avoid the afflicted country, Allen and his wife returned to help rebuild homes, provide medical treatment and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder counseling.
Allen has his Master’s Degree in Divinity and is currently continuing his education to obtain his Doctorate in Missiology; a doctoral degree concentrating on mission work in cross-cultural settings. He says he and his wife are only answering their calling to help. The good people at Preferred share their time and talent to make the world a better place. Isn’t that what you prefer?
