Team Preferred Sponsors Elisa’s Greatest Wish 5K

Team Preferred had a great time at the Elisa’s Greatest Wish 5K (sponsored by Preferred Materials) on Saturday April 1st. A few Team Preferred members even made the podium! Ryan Van Hall got second in his age group, Trey Carlson got second in his age group, and Dave Barrie got first in his age group. Overall, it was a fun, successful event for all who attended.

Central Region Green Team Runs in Rescue Run 5K

The Central Region Green Team recently participated in the Rescue Run Corporate 5K in Sanford, FL. For the third consecutive year, they served as a Gold Sponsor benefiting the Rescue Outreach Mission which serves the local homeless population. Five employees / family members from PMI and CYD finished in the top 15 of their category!

Preferred Materials Participates in NAWIC Forum

Last Friday, Preferred Materials celebrated women in construction at the NAWIC Southwest Region Forum as a Platinum Sponsor with Angie McElroy (Chief Estimator and NAWIC Southeast Region Director), along with Chris Bradley (PMI HR Director) and Erin Zimmet (PMI VP of HR).

Preferred Prepares Meal for Sulzbacher Center

For the second year in a row, the North Florida Green Team volunteered at the Sulzbacher Center for the homeless. The Sulzbacher Center provides shelter, food, health care, and education for homeless men, women, and children in Jacksonville, Florida. The team prepared and served lunch on March 9th to approximately 300 homeless people

Friday, March 31, 2017, the Preferred Materials West Florida Green Team ended their week by giving back to the community at the Ronald McDonald House located in St.Petersburg, FL. The team (and our President of Asphalt!) donated food and cooked a meal for the families staying at the location blocks away from the John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Green Team leader, Maria Perez, said “As you can see, this was a blessed day for the Ronald McDonald House. Its great to see how these small contributions brightened someone’s day”
