Project: Harbour Island High Rise
Location: Tampa, FL
Company: Batson-Cook Construction
The Preferred Materials Concrete Division completed a 25-story residential high rise project on Harbour Island in Tampa. The 20,000 cubic yard project was done in partnership with Batson-Cook Construction and consisted of 10,000psi and 8,000psi foundation columns with post-tension decks with a cable stress requirement of 18 hours. The project site was particularly challenging given the infill orientation of the neighborhood and existing residences and businesses surrounding to project.
The Arlington is a new luxury resort-style continuing care retirement community which required Preferred Materials to provide 25,000 cubic yards of concrete and a wide array of structural concrete mix designs.
In mid-October 2014, Preferred Materials, Inc. began a 4-mile resurfacing project of Pelican Bay Blvd. in Naples, FL.
