On March 6, 2015, the new I-75 Airport Direct Connect route opened to drivers traveling between Interstate-75 and the Southwest Florida International Airport; one of the nation’s top 50 airports for passenger traffic. Preferred Materials, Inc. participated in the 795-day construction of the new I-75 interchange in Fort Myers, Florida; supplying and paving approximately 65,000 tons of asphalt and delivering 6,000 cubic yards of concrete to this job. This $54,000,000 Florida Department of Transportation design build project consists of five bridges, seven miles of northbound and southbound collector/distributor roads alongside I-75 and a new Terminal Access Road (TAR) interchange over I-75.
The Arlington is a new luxury resort-style continuing care retirement community which required Preferred Materials to provide 25,000 cubic yards of concrete and a wide array of structural concrete mix designs.
In mid-October 2014, Preferred Materials, Inc. began a 4-mile resurfacing project of Pelican Bay Blvd. in Naples, FL.
Preferred Materials, Inc recently supplied over 6000 cubic yards of our specialty product DrainReady for use in the beach parking lots on Siesta Key.
