Project: The Florida Botanical Gardens
Location: Largo, FL
Preferred Materials is proud to announce the introduction and use of our new product, ColorReady Vibrant LongLife™. This product looks similar to concrete produced using white cement, only at a much lower price. Preferred is able to achieve bright, vibrant colors for the first time ever at economical prices. This concrete mix design also contains a proprietary chemistry which makes the concrete color-fast for years to come; without the need for a sealer and without the need for annual cleaning or re-sealing.
The benefits of ColorReady Vibrant LongLife™ were a perfect complement for The Florida Botanical Gardens’ needs. The Florida Botanical Gardens desired a peach-colored concrete for use in a new exhibit. The color peach was important in order to honor a large donor, the Peach family, who they wanted to commemorate with this peach-colored walkway. Preferred Materials is proud to have partnered with Joswig Construction of Tarpon Springs, Florida on this project. ColorReady Vibrant LongLife™ will enhance the beauty of the gardens and will prove to be a great way to thank the Peach family for their contribution to the gardens.
The Arlington is a new luxury resort-style continuing care retirement community which required Preferred Materials to provide 25,000 cubic yards of concrete and a wide array of structural concrete mix designs.
In mid-October 2014, Preferred Materials, Inc. began a 4-mile resurfacing project of Pelican Bay Blvd. in Naples, FL.
Preferred Materials, Inc recently supplied over 6000 cubic yards of our specialty product DrainReady for use in the beach parking lots on Siesta Key.
