An aggregate hauler was dumping his load of 131 sand at the Shirley Street plant. As the bed of his trailer was going up (about half way), Omar Nostas saw that it started to lean to one side. Omar yelled to the driver to stop. The driver stopped and let his bed down. After further investigation, it was determined that he had a broken rear right pin on his dump bed. Had Omar not been aware of his surroundings, the truck would have more than likely turned over on its side. Omar’s quick actions saved Preferred from having a major incident that day and possibly a hazardous materials situation.
