David Church is President of the Preferred Materials Region and has full management, P&L, and growth responsibilities for the region’s operations in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and South Carolina. The Preferred Materials Region employs roughly 1,800 people across the southeastern United States, with sales nearing $775 million in 2019. He leads a portfolio of CRH Americas Materials companies that produce and market asphalt, concrete, and construction aggregates, as well as provide material transportation and paving services.
Church joined CRH in the Americas in 2006 through the acquisition of APAC. In his most recent role, he served as President of the CRH Americas Materials Texas Region. Prior leadership roles include President of the former Central Division and Region President of Midsouth Materials, responsible for operations in Alabama, Mississippi, north Georgia, the panhandle of Florida, and Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to this role, he held various leadership positions with CRH Americas Materials, including President of Midsouth Paving & Aggregates, President of APAC Southeast, Construction and President APAC-Florida First Coast Division.
Church holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama.
