Marie Glenn is the President of Preferred Materials Region and she is responsible for the Concrete, Aggregates, Asphalt and Construction operations in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and South Carolina.  The Preferred Materials Region employs approximately xxx people with over $1 billion in sales in 2024.
 
With more than 26 years of progressive leadership in the construction materials industry, Marie has built a career spanning strategy, sales, marketing, logistics and operations. She got her start as a plant engineer at Dufferin Concrete in 1999, then moved into successively more senior roles in the cement and aggregates businesses.  She most recently served as Senior Vice President of Strategy at CRH PLC, leading the company’s global business strategy function and shaping growth initiatives worldwide.

She focusses relentlessly on safety, investing in people, embracing innovation, and staying close to customers as the foundation for long-term success in the construction industry.  Under her leadership, Preferred Materials will continue strengthening its long-standing position as a trusted partner — delivering high-quality materials and services that help build and maintain the communities it serves.
 
Marie holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an Executive MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and the University of St. Gallen.
